  • The Visual Arts Department has an exciting variety of classes that both challenge and inspire students.  In these classes, students will have the opportunity to create, learn visual vocabulary as well as explore art history.  Our classes foster hands on, creative learning and problem solving skills that are essential in our world today.  Our class selections include:

Art I - a basic introduction to drawing, painting, vocabulary and art history
Art II - a continuation of skills with the addition of ceramics and printmaking
Art 3/AP - gives students the opportunity to further explore drawing and painting while discovering their personal style of art.  Students in AP have a chance to build a college level portfolio and submit it to the college board for AP Drawing or 2D Design credit.
Photography I - an introduction to the use of an SLR camera, darkroom techniques and digital skills
Advanced Photography - a continuation of skills with the addition of alternative darkroom techniques
3D Make - a creative problem solving class that revolves around 3D form including sculpture
