Mr. Rob Ruddell

Rob Ruddell joined the MCCV Middle School team in 2016 but has been teaching at Mary Collins School since 2001 after teaching in Fairfield for 6 years.  He enjoys teaching language arts, history, math and a drawing elective. Rob grew up in Berkeley and graduated from Sonoma State University where he also received his multiple subject teaching credential.  In his career, Rob has had the opportunity to teach all grades, Kindergarten through 8th grade, other than the elusive 3rd grade. Rob is an avid fan of all forms of illustration, a love of which began when he started collecting comic books as a child (a hobby he continues to this day).  He has two beautiful children who attended MCCV from Kindergarten through 8th grade and is extremely proud of the education they received here. Rob truly enjoys the complex work that his middle school students can take on but the true joy comes from the relationships he forms with the middle school students.  As full of moxie as middle schoolers can be, they just want someone in their corner, to make the classroom a safe space and he is proud to help provide this space for them.
