Safe Routes to School brought their bike rodeo to Valley Vista 4th and 5th grade students this year.  The entire blacktop was filled with streets, railroad crossings, obstacle courses, traffic situations, motorcycle police officers and a bike mechanic station.  Students brought their bikes or used a loaner.  SRTS sold and fitted bike helmets for $5.  The bike mechanics (local company donating their time) made repairs to bikes in need.  Two motorcycle police officers interacted with students and talked about bike safety on the road.  It was an awesome day!
