McKinley offers a dedicated Maker Space for students just inside the Gateway to Excellence.  The space is available during morning recess and at lunch on a rotating schedule for different grade levels.

This year, the Maker Space shelves have been stocked with great fabric and wool donations so the sewers among the students are going to love it.  There are paper, drawing materials, cardboard boxes, etc for the creatively minded.  For the less creatively oriented, there are Beyblades, LEGOs, cards, and some board games.  Materials such as beads for jewelry are also set out each day. 

Weather permitting, Maker Space projects and tables will be set up in the courtyard of the Gateway to Excellence. There is also a Little Free Library located in this space.
