Interested in teaching art to children? The Art Docent Program is a volunteer based program funded by Measure D that uses trained docents to teach art to students in Petaluma City Elementary Schools. Using a variety of techniques, mediums and subjects, students explore the world of art and learn how it can enrich their lives and classroom experience. We are always looking for docents. No art experience is necessary–just the love of art and the interest in bringing the joy of art into the classroom. Training is minimal and volunteer time is flexible.
