Measles Information
Sonoma County Health Officer Dr. Celeste Philip has released a letter to parents and guardians, alerting them of the current state and national measles outbreaks. In this letter (provided in Spanish and English), she outlines the serious threat measles presents to unvaccinated or under-vaccinated children and strongly encourages any unvaccinated children to get the measles vaccine as soon as possible. The Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) strongly supports this valuable information being shared with parents and guardians and has asked school districts to share the letters with their school communities.
For information on where to get affordable immunizations, visit the Sonoma County Department of Health Services Community Clinics page. Whichever Community Clinic you are considering, please call first and ask about options for care and pricing.
