LCAP Advisory Meetings
-
Petaluma City Schools develops the LCAP through a process of engagement with a variety of stakeholders. On the committee, we have representation from families, teachers, staff, students, community members, board members, and administrators, with at least one representative from every school site in our District. LCAP Advisory meetings are held regularly throughout the school year as the plan is being developed. All are welcome and encouraged to participate in the development of the LCAP during our LCAP Advisory Meetings.
For the past two years our meetings took place via Zoom. However, for the 2023-2024 school year we will be holding out meetings in-person at McDowell Elementary, starting at 5:30pm. Meeting dates are below:
- September 20
- October 25
- November 29
- December 13
- March 27
- May 29
For more information about these meetings or to provide input on the LCAP, contact the Educational Services Department or by phone at (707) 778-4619.
The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
-
The LCAP is a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities. The LCAP provides an opportunity for local educational agencies (LEAs) to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are selected to meet their local needs.
The LCAP reports in detail how LCFF Supplemental and Concentration funds, if applicable, are used to improve student outcomes, and increase or improve services for students with a focus on unduplicated students (English Learners, Foster Youth, and Low Income students).
Beginning with the 2019-2020 LCAP districts were required to complete a Budget Overview for Parents that details how LCFF funds were used in the prior year, how they will be used in the current planning year, and specifically how funds were/will be used for unduplicated students. The Budget Overview for Parents is included in the LCAP that is linked below.
The LCAP for Petaluma City Schools for the 2022-2023 school year was adopted/approved by the Board of Education on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. The 2022-2023 LCAP is the second year of the three-year LCAP planning cycle. You can view/download the 2022-2023 LCAP by following the link below:
