RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF PETALUMA CITY ELEMENTARY AND PETALUMA JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICTS (“PETALUMA CITY SCHOOLS”), COMMENDING JADEN GREGORIO FOR HIS SERVICE AS A STUDENT BOARD MEMBER FOR PETALUMA CITY SCHOOLS

WHEREAS, Jaden Gregorio successfully completed his term as Student Representative to the Board of Education and has performed his duties in an exemplary manner; and,

 

WHEREAS,  Jaden is an articulate, intelligent, Petaluma High School student and his participation and engagement have been well-organized, comprehensive, and delivered with clarity and sincerity; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Petaluma City School District Board of Education has welcomed his interest, concerns, and advice in many topics that come before the Board; and,

 

WHEREAS,  Jaden has been a loyal member of Petaluma City Schools, demonstrated in his dedication and commitment to his studies, extensive community/school hobbies, and extracurricular activities. Outside of school, Jaden has been a member of PYC (Petaluma Youth Commission: youth group that has done environmentally conscious projects like tree mulching/tree planting projects at various Petaluma locations) for the past two years, participated in the LCAP Advisory Panel to address issues of racism & homophobia at PHS, and done personal private commissions of graphic design work. 

 

At Jaden’s very core, his number one value is taking care of and serving the Petaluma community. Seeing how prejudice & discrimination has affected Jaden personally and others, Jaden aspires to serve marginalized communities in the future. As of right now, Jaden plans to major in Public Policy Analysis, Political Science, or Law; now

 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Governing Board of Petaluma City Schools commends Jaden Gregorio for his dedicated service, expresses its appreciation for his warm friendship and extends its best wishes as he continues to pursue his life goals.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of the resolution be made an integral part of the Minutes of the May 28, 2024 meeting of the Petaluma City Schools Board of Education. Passed and Adopted by the Governing Board of the Petaluma City Schools on May 28, 2024.

The foregoing resolution was introduced by Board Member Cloud who moved its adoption, seconded by Member Gen and adopted by the following vote:
