Passing of Resolution 2324-40

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF PETALUMA CITY ELEMENTARY AND PETALUMA JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICTS (“PETALUMA CITY SCHOOLS”), NOT TO REELECT PROBATIONARY CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEE, EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 2024

Resolution 2324-40WHEREAS, Education Code section 44929.21 authorizes the Governing Board to give notice, by the end of the school year of the employee’s second complete consecutive school year of employment, to any probationary certificated employee whose probationary period commenced during the 1983-84 fiscal year, or any fiscal year thereafter, of the Governing Board’s decision not to reelect the employee for the next succeeding school years; and

WHEREAS, Education Code section 44929.21 authorizes the Governing Board to give notice, at any time by the end of the school year of the employee’s second complete consecutive school year of employment, to any probationary certificated employee whose probationary period commenced during the 1983-84 fiscal year, or any fiscal year thereafter, of the Governing Board’s decision not to reelect the employee for the next succeeding school year; and

WHEREAS, the Governing Board has received a recommendation from the District Superintendent or other appropriate District administrators not to reelect the employee listed in Attachment “A”; and

WHEREAS, the Governing Board has discussed the recommendation made by the administration and concurs in said recommendation; now

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Governing Board of the Petaluma City (Elementary) School District and the Petaluma Joint Union High School District determines that the employee listed in Attachment “A” shall not be reelected for the 2024-2025 school year and hereby authorizes the District Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee to notify such employee listed in Attachment “A” of the Governing Board’s decision not to reelect them. The District Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee is further authorized to take any other actions necessary to effect the intent of this Resolution.

The foregoing resolution was introduced by Board Member Webster who moved its adoption, seconded by Member Cloud and adopted by the following vote:
