National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Works to educate, advocate, listen, and lead in order to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones.
Buckelew: Wide range of services for adults and children in the North Bay includes supported housing and employment for people living with mental illness, family support, outpatient counseling, substance use treatment, outreach, education, and suicide prevention.
Social Advocates for Youth (SAY): Counseling/mental health programs, shelter and affordable housing, & career and life readiness programs.
Sonoma County Behavioral Health: Substance use treatment, peer-run self-help centers, and community response and engagement.
Special Olympics Northern California: The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
211 Sonoma: Comprehensive information and referral service for Sonoma County. They connect Sonoma County callers, website-users, and texters each year with information about health and human services available to them.
Matrix: Parent network and resource center
North Bay Regional Center: A private, independent non-profit contracted by the State of California to support people with developmental disabilities and their families. Also helps by identifying local resources and other community-based services that can address the individual’s identified support needs.
Heard Alliance: Suicide prevention and mental health support
Referral Process

All referrals to the South County Consortium are initiated by the district of residence or North Bay Regional Center Early Start. For the non-intensive preschool speech program or, parents are directed to their home school where an initial screening will take place.

Mission Statement
The South County Consortium Parent Teacher Organization is a community organization supporting children with special needs, their parents and the educators that work to teach them life skills helping them become independent individuals that can contribute to the community. Our mission is to provide funds and resources for the purpose of enriching and maintaining the educational experience within the classroom environment. Our goal is to establish relationships with community members and businesses that are interested in the success of the students attending The South County Consortium and its educators and support staff.
