Elementary Music  

Petaluma City Schools is proud to offer a comprehensive elementary music program with general (classroom) music lessons, band, and chorus.  Access to music education for all elementary students is supported by compulsory band or chorus in late elementary school and funding from the Parcel Tax.   

Junior High Music

Junior High students in Petaluma City Schools have the opportunity to continue their musical studies in band or chorus by participating in performance-based large ensemble classes.  These bands and choruses perform regularly on our campuses and have also enjoyed performances at exciting locations such as San Francisco Giants Games, and Disneyland.  Additionally, both Kenilworth and Petaluma Junior High marching bands participate in the annual Petaluma Butter and Eggs Day Parade.       

High School Music

Casa Grande and Petaluma High School boast two of the strongest high school music programs in Sonoma County.  These award-winning programs offer the following performance opportunities: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Drum Line, and Choir.  For more information about these model music education programs visit the Casa Grande High School Music Program Website and the Petaluma High School Music Program Website.
