Library at McNear

  • McNear has a library under the direction of librarian Laura Bussey. Mrs. Bussey has been the McNear librarian since 2001. She has been a book lover since 1960.

    Mrs. Bussey works at McNear every weekday morning except Mondays. Families or students can come see her before school! 

    Every class visits the library once each week. Beginning in first grade, students may check out 2 books each week. Parents may check out as many books as they like. 

     
    Our library has 8,867 books. The PTA gives the library thousands of dollars every year. This is important as the State of California has not provided school libraries with any significant budget since 2003.
