Kylee Cecchini Haynes has been a teacher in the Petaluma City School District since 1988, spending 24 years as an English teacher at Petaluma High School before coming over to San Antonio High School.  She loves teaching in a small school environment and feels so fortunate to be part of the San Antonio High School family.

Ms. Cecchini grew up in Novato, moving the Santa Rosa when she was a sophomore in High School.  After graduating from Piner High School, she attended Santa Rosa Junior College and transferred after earning an AA degree to University of California at Davis.  Graduating with a BA in English with an emphasis in teaching, Ms. Cecchini then attended San Francisco State University for her single subject credential.

In 2002, Ms. Cecchini achieved National Board Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Literature.  She continues to find ways to grow in her profession and this year has become an instructor for Sonoma County Office of Education’s Be A Teacher Program, teaching adults who wish earn a teaching credential.

Ms. Cecchini has four children, three of whom are Petaluma High School graduates and one who will be starting kindergarten in the fall.  Although she keeps herself very busy, Ms. Cecchini always makes herself available to both students and parents.  She can be reached through email at kcecchini@petk12.org.
