In her free time, she loves exploring Sonoma County, finding new restaurants to eat at, and spending time with her family.

Biography:  Mrs. Parker grew up in Larkspur and Sebastopol. She was the first woman in Sonoma County to receive a nomination or a dual nomination to both the Air Force and Naval Academies in 1986. She is the first woman from Sonoma County to attend Annapolis.  She has always had a deep passion and desire to spend her life in a career where she can be of service to others. After five years of traditional teaching positions, she came to Valley Oaks in the fall of 2003, where she finds continual inspiration and delight in her meaningful interactions with Valley Oaks students and families. She taught summer school for 7 years for Santa Rosa City Schools and 2 years for Valley Oaks.  Aside from her primary goal of giving students a strong foundation in science, she encourages all students to participate in community service activities and to strive to develop their personal character.
